I can't over-stress this guys. When you do this, you ensure that you'll land on balance and likely get that "shooter's roll". If you do miss, you'll be able to pinpoint exactly what went wrong in your shot and why you missed (so you can correct it on the next one). If I were to shoot 100 3's on a gun, holding my follow-through until the ball went in would be the difference between me making 70/100 and making 90+/100. It's especially important to hold your follow through in practice & workouts because that's when you build good habits. It can be hard to hold your follow-through in certain game situations, but when you're working on your shot, you should ALWAYS practice the best possible habits.
